need music?

Hey lee,My name is Shane, and I am the lead music tech here at BonInkCreations.Im not required to lend my services to you, but at your request I would love to be signed to your development team for Dark Matter. I believe I could be a worthy musical asset as I am able to produce many types of music, from erie, to fast paced actiony, smooth, to heavy. I can also do audio clean up. For example, if you had recorded a voice acting clip but had all that obnoxious back ground noise and random mic spikes here and there, I would be able to make the audio sound studio quality. I am also able to make custom menu sound effects and battle sound effects such as wind, menu blips, birds chirping, ect. Heya Shane!

Lee mentioned you when you initially posted, but at the time we had someone already doing audio work for the game. Since then, the music he'd created has been held up in a laptop incident. Any further contact has been difficult, which makes me (personally) think he's just not interested anymore.

With the nature of Dark Matter, I suggested to Lee that every planet has a very different feel to it, so musically it would be great to represent that. There's two ways we thought about going about this; one is to simply have different instrumental feels for each world, two is to have a couple of different musicians to focus on specific planets in the game. It's still up in the air after our intial guy backed out in which of the two we'll go for, but we're leaning on the couple of musicians route, right now. What I'm basically saying is either way, I think it would be great if you did come on board the project, if you're still interested.

I really liked your Revelation sample. It's the sort of thing I can imagine in the vast wasteland of the Chimera world, or a ruined city. It has this atmospheric build up before a lonely melody filters in, which gains power in the second half of the tune. It's like a journey in itself, and shows off what you can do. It's awesome.

Hey Edgar, sorry for the late reply. I would love to join your team for sure. however I would have one question. an that is, how long will you be needing me? not trying to say im too busy or anything of that sort haha. more curiosity. im currently not producing music for anybody in specific, however, i am doing audio clean up for another indie studio with bonink, personaly, i love the idea of your game and it sounds like it would be really fun. i actualy just got finished writing a random tune, that almost sounds like it could be a space exploration song haha. if you need me just pm me and we can figure out exactly what you guys need from me. i personaly like the idea of one composer(primairly because its easier for you guys to work with one person than however many you would need to cover all the planets, then the style of music as in, the artistic flare would be noticably the same where the styles would still be diferent) just my own opinion. let me know what you guys are thinking, and add me on skype if you want to IM ackly14

All righty, the idea of one composer is still great to us, it just means you'll have more tunes to work on rather than them being more spread out!

But basically, we need you for however long is needed and whenever you can. It's an ongoing project that's going to take a bit of time due to it being mostly just Lee and I working on Dark Matter. For now, we want to concentrate on Galaxy 1 for our game (which is the first 3-4 planets/areas. That includes things like fight music, space travel music and boss music, too. I'll send you a PM with the specifics and I'll try and organise something with Lee on Skype.
